RAPPER Tinashe ‘TinasheTheBlessed’ Mupambawashe has intensified his campaign against suicide among young people through the power of his music.
He has just dropped a single Tariro off his EP set for release in May.
“I am more into music which encourages people not to despair.
“I give hope, especially to the hopeless, and those who want to give up on life.
“I have noted that our generation is committing suicide due to love-related issues and my music is raising awareness against that.”
He added:
“In the song Tariro, I am challenging young people not to give up despite the challenges they face daily.
“Taking drugs is not an option but it is the worst decision to make.
“We all have problems, so I am encouraging everyone not to kill themselves.
“On all the songs, I am working with Hastings Chiromo as he is my videographer and he funds all the production.”
The rapper’s last album was in 2015.
“Since 2015 I have been releasing singles and videos.
“In 2016, I released Rudo, Sei wakundidaro, Sthandwa Sami (2017), Ndiroorewo ft Maskiri (2018), Tanga Wandida ft Amos Mahendere (2019), In Love ft Pamzee (2019), Ndabvuma ft Mr Shona Tawanda Magunde, who is based in the UK, was released (2020), I Am Falling In Love was released (2020).”
