YOUNG and upcoming dancehall artist, Ras Jayden, real name Jayden Zhuga, has urged children to speak out against abuse.
The 11-year-old, who recently celebrated International Children’s Day of Broadcasting on radio, revealed that a lot of children were facing various forms of abuse and should report to the relevant authorities whenever it happens.
Speaking to H-Metro, his manager, Sammie Zhuga, said:
“We have so many cases of child abuse these days and the children are suffering in silence.
“We are calling for help from necessary authorities to go into schools and teach children on the various forms of abuse and where to report if abused.
“Ras Jayden is a children’s ambassador and hence the call by him for children to report any form of abuse that happens to them, be it to the police or their guardians.
“If it’s the case of being abused by their guardians, we urge them to report to the police or their teachers at school.
“It’s important for children to be guided and get justice when wronged as they are the future leaders.”
