Raw Vibe to release debut album

The group is made up of four members — Effort Gashu, Mduduzi Mabhena, Banele Ncube and Shane Ndlovu.

Production on the album was done by prominent local DJ Banele Ncube, better known as Kead Wikead, who worked alongside Nduduzi Mabhena also known as Da Scratch. Vocals on the album are credited to Mthokozisi Madongo, Tabona Makheba, Ndlovu and Gashu.

In an interview, group member Nduduzi Mabhena said the group was releasing the album as a way of announcing themselves to the local house music scene. The album comes only a year after the group was formed.

“This is our debut offering and we want it to be as  big as it can be, because first impressions count a lot to music listeners. We started out in April 2012, our first track was a song called AmaVandal featuring Qesh, Ntombie and C gal with Kead Wikead producing. We haven’t looked back since then and our efforts have culminated in this full length album,” he said.

Mabhena said people should look out for the songs Memela, the title track Mekeleni and Vula Vala which he said were guaranteed to be big bangers due to the reception that fans had shown towards the songs whenever they had been played at gigs.

“The tracks that people should look forward to are Memela, Mekeleni and Vula Vala as I believe that the three are guaranteed bangers,” he said.
