Raza gives Zimbabwe hope

SIKANDAR Raza has given Zimbabwe hope after he posted on his socials “Zimbabwe calling”, at a time when the Chevrons are in trouble against the Proteas in the second test match in Bulawayo.

Raza, who was in the USA for the MLS, is expected to rejoin the Chevrons for the Tri-Series against South Africa and New Zealand, with the first match on July 14 at Harare Sports Club.

The T20 captain, who seems to be on his way back into the country, could help inspire Zimbabwe after the test battering currently underway.

After South Africa declared on 626 for 5 on day 2 on Monday, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 170 in their first innings and made to follow. The Chevrons still looked hopeless on Day 3, and they were on 143 for 3 at lunch.
