SIKANDAR Raza was not in action for Trinbago Knight Riders as they won their seventh match on the trot in the Caribbean Premier League with a 19-run triumph over Jamaica Tallawahs at the Brian Lara Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad on Tuesday.

Colin Munro was the highest run scorer for the Trinbago Knight Riders with 65 from 4 balls, an effort enough for the Zealander to walk away with the man of the match award, his team posting 184/4 in 20 overs. Jamaica Tallawahs could only manage 165/6 in 20 overs, their highest contribution with the bat coming from Andre Russell who made an unbeaten 50 off 23 deliveries.

Trinbago Knight Riders, the most successful team in the history of the CPL with three titles since the tournament started in 2013 remained on top of the log with 14 points.

Raza has only played three of the team’s seven matches. The Pakistan born Zimbabwean international has scored only three runs and taken the same number of wickets in the matches he has played.

Next up for Raza and his teammates is a clash with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Trinidad where they will look to make it eight out of eight.
