Pastor Kilton Moyo
If you read the article last Sunday you will notice that I am writing from a great concern as one who seeks to see a huge return to God for the family and nations of this world. Today I want to be even more prophetic as I sense in my heart a stirring towards calling the Family back to its creator and owner.
My thinking and feeling is that we need to rebuild on the true foundation which is Christ, the living word of God. You see, Jesus is the cornerstone that builders reject and because of this, whatever we build without this cornerstone is not of God and is vulnerable. This is why Psalm 127 would say that if God does not build a house they labour in vain that build it. Whatever God builds is valuable and Jesus is the cornerstone of everything he builds. Anything which God has not built is not His. How do you then expect Him to come and bless what He has not built and is not even built on His foundation and it rejects the proper Cornerstone? Will I be wrong to suggest to my beloved, that anything that is not built by God must be broken down and rebuilt?
This we will see from now hence forth. There is a move of God in the nations that cannot be ignored. The things we have built ourselves without God are beginning to fall apart. It does not matter how beautiful those things are, they must fall so we can rebuild with God. Families, communities, organisations, businesses, nations and many others that we have built on the spirit of Humanism are falling and will fall. This is to prepare us for the rebuilding and restoration of ancient ruins that shall bring healing to nations for the glory of God. Beloved, sometimes I wonder alone whether we really understand the times that we are living in.
My call and challenge to my readers today is to embrace the Cornerstone which is Christ as we build our families. Do not be afraid of rebuilding, it is the right thing to do. You have all the grace to restart and build that family on the right foundation. Any impressive building has a cornerstone to show its value. Jesus adds so much value to your family and He is that value you need.
Beloved, we live in a broken world with broken people. Many have been broken by the things and systems we have built ourselves. Most of the brokenness in the world flows from Humanism, a belief that we can do anything without God. Infact Humanism is the biggest threat in the world today. It is an anti-Christ philosophy. To alleviate this brokenness, we need to rebuild our systems of parenting, fatherhood, marriage, leadership, governance based on the guidelines of the word of God. We will never solve anything in this life until we have asked ourselves, this one question; “What does the word of God say about this issue?
The solution to all our afflictions is the Word of God. It is the one we constantly reject, Jesus Christ. Beloved, we are confronted with dysfunctional and abusive behaviour in all society. We are faced with a rebellious youth, the development of gangs as substitute for a supportive family structure, and terrible cancers like racism, sexism and economic inequalities. While these could be symptoms of the brokenness of sin, they also are an indication of the dominant spirit in the family set up. How have we built the family? What spirit operates in the family? What foundation did we build on? We cannot build on rebellion against God and expect wholeness. It cannot happen that way.
We are in a dispensation where we need to collectively rethink and rebuild. Our healing of communities and nations will flow from our collective efforts now to rebuild on the foundation of God. It is upon this that I want to call on the collective body of Christ in communities to arise and lead us towards this rebuilding mandate. We must bring healing to the broken people and make them builders too. The family must stand and withstand the humanistic onslaught and this can only happen if the family is built on Christ and the word of God. We can only, as communities put a good fight of faith and sound therapies for societal ills, by having very sound and stable families. Our war against occultism, pornography, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, drug peddling, depression, unfruitfulness, abortion, outward religious practices, corruption, and racism and many others can be well fought and won if the Family system is stable and built on faith and teaching the heart and mind and spirit of God as suggested in Deuteronomy chapter six from verse four to nine.
It is time to rethink many things. This will not happen to every one of us instantly like that. It will have to start with someone in any given community. It has already started. We are in the season of going back to God because it’s time.
My call is to fathers out there; let us go back to the foundation. Many things that we have embraced as the culture and traditions of our forefathers are actually demonic doctrines built on rebellion against God. They were born of a humanistic mind when man was without God. Our culture, the true human culture, is what God teaches. We came from God and we are of God, beloved. It’s time to go back and overcome.
As I have said, it does not matter where you are or what has happened, we all can rebuild and let us go for it. Rebuild your family. Protect your family. Fight for your family. Take your family to God in Christ. It’s about time.
