In an interview, Black Lion said his reggae gospel music targets both the young and old people.

Black Lion said the album has a fusion of both reggae and hip-hop as a way of reaching out to as many people as possible.

“Reggae is mainly associated with the Rastafarianism which is another religion but we want people to understand that gospel does not have to be traditional but can be fused with other sounds and still not lose its meaning”, he said.
Live shows
In an effort to make his mark on the music scene, he has performed at live shows with his most memorable one being in 2011 at the prestigious Harare International Festival of the Arts.
