REIGNING Mr Zimbabwe champion Champion Chendaramwano has come out of retirement.

The body-builder announced he was leaving the sport after winning three consecutive titles.

Chienderamwano is now at par with the immortal Givemore Marume and is one title behind George Takundwa’s record. Marume, who now runs a Boot Camp at Alex Sports Club that is attracting scores of fitness enthusiasts, dominated the Mr Zimbabwe contest from 2001 to 2003.

The legendary Takundwa was the main man from 1981 to 1984.

Now Chendamwano wants to win a fourth crown.

“It is all by the grace of God that I have been able to win the Mr Zimbabwe contest three times, I have not been defeated and I am not retiring, there is no going back,” said the Botswana-based hulk.
