Rejoice Academy wins “King of the Ring” National Foods competition

Rejoice Academy, a school based in Kambuzuma in Harare, came out tops in the National Foods’ King Kurls “King of the Ring” promotion, snatching the grand price prize of a brand-new minibus.
During the competition, the National Foods toured the country for several months under the theme “Coming to a Street Corner Near You,” culminating to Rejoice Academy being crowed winner.
Exaviour Mugote, the competition’s top finalist, chose Rejoice Academy to receive the kombi.
The arrival of the bus was met with excitement by students and staff members.  School principal, Rejoice Muzondo, expressed gratitude for the gift.
National Foods, through its King Kurls snack brand, has maintained a long presence in the Zimbabwean snack market.
Alice Kambasha, managing executive for the Snacks Business Unit at National Foods said: “We are pleased to have connected with so many people through this promotion. Seeing the appreciation and gratitude today is truly rewarding. Our brands have a long history in
Zimbabwe, and we are happy to support the growth and development of the next generation.”
The initiative reflects King Kurls’ commitment to community engagement.
Nyambuya, Glenview, Mufakose District Schools Inspector, who attended the handover, emphasized the importance of such corporate involvement.
“This kombi will be a valuable resource for the school and its students,” he said.  “We encourage other companies to follow this example and support the future of Zimbabwe.”
