ZIMBABWE’S dash for global glory just got turbocharged!
The National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (NAAZ) has hit the jackpot through a game-changing alliance with 5Brands Consulting Group — unlocking a major sponsorship for the country’s 4x400m relay team heading to the World Relays in Guazhou, China, on May 10–11.
The big win? A full kit sponsorship from Health (China) Sporting Goods Company Ltd, under their high-performance brand Hiracer.
The deal will see six Zimbabwean athletes and three officials kitted out in world-class gear — spikes, uniforms, tracksuits, tees, socks, caps, and waist bags — all tailored to World Athletics standards.
“This sponsorship is more than just apparel – it’s a symbol of belief in Zimbabwean talent,” said a proud NAAZ president, Tendai Tagara.
The move comes as NAAZ continues to push local athletes to the pinnacle of global competition.
Leading the charge is none other than Harare’s own lawyer-turned-track-star, Gerren Muwishi, who will captain the 4x400m national team in China.
From the courtroom to the track, and from Harare to Guazhou — Team Zim is laced up and ready to fly the flag high!
