The dangers of drug and substance abuse among students
The Guest of Honour, The Headmaster, Teachers and fellow students. Good morning.

Today I want to talk about “The Dangers of Drug and Substance Abuse Among Students”.
This is a serious problem that is destroying the future of many young people.

Firstly, drug abuse leads to poor academic performance. When students take drugs, they cannot concentrate in class and they often fail examinations. Secondly, drugs damage our health. They can cause diseases like liver problems and even death.

Many students get involved in drugs because of peer pressure and lack of information. Some think drugs will help them forget their problems, but they only create bigger problems.

I therefore urge all students to say no to drugs. Let us focus on our studies and talk to teachers or parents if we have problems. Together we can build a drug-free school.

In conclusion, let us choose life, choose education and say no to drugs. Thank you.

What to copy for public examinations: Report checklist: Title, introduction, Headings, Past tense, Name +Position +Date. Speech checklist: Salutation, introduction, 2-3 points, Conclusion + Call to action.

Examinations are close but we also need to balance time and energy. Just remember: 10 minutes of practice a day > cramming the night before.

Model Answer: The importance of reading: The Guest of Honour, The Headmaster, Teachers, and fellow Students, Good morning. Today I stand before you to talk about “The importance of reading.

Reading is a habit that can change our lives as students.

Firstly, reading makes us knowledgeable. Through reading books, newspapers and magazines, we learn about different countries, science and history. A student who reads widely will always perform well in examinations.

Secondly, reading improves our language. When we read, we learn new words and correct grammar. This helps us to speak and write better in class and in examinations. Lastly, reading reduces stress and boredom. Instead of wasting time on phones, we can read any storybook and learn something useful.

In conclusion, let us rea today to lead tomorrow. Thank you.
