Research and Intellectual Expo postponed

The third edition of the Research and Intellectual Expo which was scheduled to begin today has been postponed. Secretary for Science and Technology Development Dr Washington Mbizvo confirmed the development in a statement released yesterday.“Dr Washington Mbizvo is advising the nation that the Research and Intellectual Expo scheduled for October 2 and running until October 4 has been postponed to a later date, any inconvenience is sincerely regretted,” the statement read.

The Research and Intellectual Expo is an initiative of the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary education that seeks to harness research and intellectual work by Zimbabweans both at home and in the Diaspora for national development.

The inaugural RIE was held in 2011 and together with the 2012 edition the platform has become a focal point for new ideas and new practices in research, learning and technological and socio-economic development.
