Residents’ intervention leads to arrest of robbery suspects

TWO men were swiftly apprehended after allegedly breaking into a house and making off with cash and cell phones.

On 12 January 2025, Vincent Tabvirakare (41) and Peter Munyaradzi Runganga (35) thought they had struck gold as they allegedly smashed their way into a house in Mufakose in Harare and tried to flee with US$400, R 1050 and four cell phones.

In an official statement on X, the police said, “The suspects were apprehended by the members of the public after the complainants shouted for help whilst the robbery was in progress.”
