EcoCash customers can now pay for their groceries in the country’s major retail supermarkets using their EcoCash US dollar wallet and can pay for Zesa tokens and pay Harare’s City Parking with the same wallet.
Pick n Pay, OK, Bon Marche, OK Mart, Spar and Choppies supermarkets across the country, plus Greens Supermarket in the Bulawayo region, and Pote Supermarkets in Midlands accept US dollar EcoCash a company spokesperson said.
To use the wallet to pay for goods and services at supermarkets, customers simply need to select the EcoCash option at the checkout counter. The amount will then be deducted from their US dollar wallet.
The payments can also be made through thousands of CBZ and CABS point-of-sale machines countrywide.
In addition to the convenience of paying using the EcoCash US dollar wallet, EcoCash is also offering USD a 10 percent discount on all airtime purchases done via the EcoCash USD wallet.
