RHINOS IS WHERE THE HEART IS, SAYS YABO

NESBERT ‘Yabo’ Saruchera says there is no place like home and, for him, that means working at Black Rhinos.

Saruchera was brought back to the club following their relegation from the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League last season.

He will now plot Black Rhinos’ return, via the tough ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League.

Already clubs like Harare City and MWOS have beefed up with experienced players and they will also be aiming for the title.

However, Rhinos have kept the bulk of the players who served them in the top-flight league last season and also added a number of faces from sister club Cranborne Bullets.

“It’s a process, we have started building a strong team that will challenge for the honours.

“I am actually happy to be back at my home as you actually know I am one of the players who played here before.

“We are happy and we are going to work flat out that come 2025 we will be back where we belong.

“Black Rhinos is the flagship of the Zimbabwe National Army and we have been given a mandate to build a strong team going forward.

“So, we are going to build a strong team so that it won’t be difficult for us to bounce back in 2025.”

Saruchera has a rich history of leading teams from Division One to the PSL.

“Bouncing back won’t be easy but I have already done it before and we are going to make sure we work hard with the other technical team members and bring back Chauya Chipembere where it belongs.

“It’s not going to be easy but some of the players, who are here at Black Rhinos, I have already worked with them and that will put us in a better position to understand each other.”
