BLACK Rhinos goalminder, Simbarashe Nkosi, passed away on Saturday morning from a chest infection.
In a statement, Black Rhinos secretary-general, Edward Mutukwa, said the club had learnt with deep sorry and sadness about the death of their goalie.
“The brilliant shot stopper succumbed to a chest infection at Mutare General Hospital.
“Recruited in 2021, Simbarashe was set to join his teammates this season after successfully completing his military training.
“Indeed, we have lost a talented and promising player who was bound to add quality and depth to the goalkeeping department and the team as a whole. Simbarashe’s death is quite difficult to accept for the Chauya Chipembere family.
“We would like to convey our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family in this dark time.
May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he said.
