Talented music outfit rhumba outfit Bana Des As is on a campaign to reach out to rhumba fans that have been starved due to the genre’s limited shows. A few rhumba groups are doing live shows and Bana Des As is one of the consistent performers of the foreign beat that rocked the industry some years ago.
The group’s spokesperson said they are taking their live performances to many venues and they are targeting mature followers.
Tonight, the band graces Rhumba Night at Food Nest Restaurant at Longchen Plaza, where other rhumba groups have performed before.
The Rhumba Nights are meant to serve fans of the genre since activities around the beat have been declining.
“We have our fans at heart and we are trying our best to keep them served. It is true that rhumba activity has been low because many groups folded, but we have been resilient. We know they are many followers of the genre that want to see live performances. We are prepared to keep supplying good music,” said the spokesperson.
In a statement, Food Nest management noted they will keep the Rhumba Nights going because their mature patrons love the genre.
“Our clients are mature music followers. We will do our best to make them happy. The Rhumba Nights are popular. Rhumba unites people from various countries. It is a popular beat in many parts of Africa and we always have different nationalities at the shows,” noted the statement.
“We are available to provide the best dining and entertainment experience. We want to be the best destination for leisure. Good food goes along with good music. We have various foreign dishes and we will have something for everyone who comes for the show. We have had good outings during the rhumba nights and we want to see more people attending the event.”
Bana Des As will be supported by Unique Queens dancers and 3D that are likely to spice up the show.
