Dancehall lovers are set to have a weekend to remember with Super Label being the place to be tomorrow as the entertainment joint hosts the launch of dancehall musician Ricky Fire’s album.The launch will see some of Zimbabwe’s finest dancehall musicians taking turns to entertain the crowd with Guspy Warrior, Dadza D, Soul Jah Love, Killer T, Seh Calaz, Lady Squanda, Keena and others expected to keep the fans on their toes.
The album titled “There is no Danger” is the Ricky Fire’s sixth, having already churned out others such as “Kugedageda Kwemeno”, “She is Perfect” and “The Real Fireman” among others. The album carries 13 tracks including “Mafaro Anotanga Chishanu”, “Hupenyu” and “PaDemand”.
The “Kumba Kunouya Kuno” hit-maker has promised fireworks during the launch.
“Zimbabwe’s finest chanters as far as dancehall is concerned are going to be there so fans can expect a really good time.
“All I can say is fans are going to party and have a time of their lives because we are here for them and music is our lives,” said the chanter.
Ricky Fire, whose real name is Thulani Takavada expressed content with his progress music wise.
“I believe musically I’m heading in the right direction. To be able to come up with music is one thing and to get it appreciated becomes another, so when you hear your music being played and seemingly appreciated then you know you are moving in the right way.
“Above all music is who I am and it is my first love and I understand nothing better than music,” said the singer.
The show, which kicks off at 6pm and is expected to be one of the weekend’s star attractions considering the number of dancehall performers who will be vying to deliver at the launch.
