IT was a night where stars like Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift dressed-up to the max. But Rihanna was the exception on Sunday evening after she dressed down for MTV’s VMA’s except for a mini gold crucifix between her two front teeth. The “Unapologetic” singer skipped the glitzy red carpet and head straight to her seat next to galpal Melissa Forde for the prestigious event. Ri-Ri wore sported a jet black mullet hairstyle with a cut-off shirt featuring female emcee MC Lyte’s face and the lyrics ‘Gotta Get A Ruff Neck’.
To complete her look she wore dark blue cuffed jeans with some black strappy heels but it was her mouth accessory that really stood-out.
The 25-year-old had a crucifix strategically put between her front teeth on a night when various mouth grills were all the rage.
Rihanna’s grill was offset matte red lipstick, strappy black heels and statement jewellery.
During the event the Barbados-born beauty did not really seem to get into the proceedings and noticeably scowled when former boyfriend Drake took to the stage although there was no sign of Chris Brown.
The singer was seen chatting to Will Smith and his son Jayden while she sat directly in front of One Direction on pop’s big night.
She even posed next to British boyband star Harry Styles for a photograph at one point.
But there was no sweeping statement from the superstar like her white angelic look from last year’s event. – Daily Mail.
