FORMER Highlanders FC players Dumisani “Fazo” Ndlovu and Peter “Rio” Moyo have resurfaced at the Lowveld side Triangle United while young Mgcini Sibanda bought outhis contract before joining rivals How Mine.Young Sibanda, 20 who joined How Mine last week, voluntarily forfeited what the club owed him in winning bonuses and salary arrears and reached an amicable disengagement with the club.

“The boy was on contract with us but asked to be excused so that he could try his luck elsewhere,” said the Highlanders chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede yesterday.

Fazo and Rio, along with former Tsholotsho and Triangle midfielder Pasca Manhanga will be linking up with their former boss at Highlanders, Kelvin Kaindu, who is now calling the shots at the lowveld side.

Moyo was initially signed by Mpumalanga Black Aces of South Africa in June last year, but the deal was then terminated under unclear circumstances. He was later reported to have been snapped up by a lower Division South African side, Witbank Spurs.

Fazo, younger brother to former Highlanders skipper and assistant coach Bekithemba, was offloaded by the Bulawayo giants for alleged gross indiscipline.

Kaindu yesterday confirmed the presence of his former players.

“Yes the boys are here training with us and I believe they’re adapting well to our system,” said Kaindu who replaced Biggie Zuze as club head coach.

Kaindu has teamed up with his former goalkeepers’ coach Tembo Chuma, who has made a small piece of history for himself by producing three goalkeepers of the year in successive seasons.

Kaindu also revealed that Triangle is now home to Zambian striker Makungika Sakala who was with Napa Stars last season.

Former ZPC Kariba and Hwange fringe player Ephraim Mwinga has also been training with the sugarcane millers.

“We aren’t intending to make major changes to the squad, we just want to have continuity in the team while also filling a few key positions,” said Kaindu.

Meanwhile, Triangle will have their first pre-season friendly match this weekend although their opponents are yet to be confirmed.
