Rising hip-hop artiste Natty Gee finds success with “El Gringo” mixtape

Mthabisi Tshuma –

THE country’s hip-hop industry has found a new star in Natty Gee, whose music is steadily gaining traction across the nation. His latest work is a hit on several radio stations.

Born Nyasha Goromonzi, Natty Gee has been in the game for over a decade but was yet to make the breakthrough to becoming an acclaimed artist.

Natty Gee has worked with notable names, including urban grooves legend Maskiri on the track “Namwari” and Nigerian artist Ryme Deep on “Stagger Go Down”.

His latest project, the “El Gringo Mixtape”, features songs like “I Knew It”, “G Wagon”, “Pakuda Plan”, “Snakes and Ladders” and “What If.”
“I started making music professionally in 2012. I’m focused on Afro-beats, Amapiano, and other music genres. My latest work has been warmly received beyond my home city, Harare, reaching stations in Bulawayo and Victoria Falls,” said Natty Gee.

“Notable among the tracks is “Pakuda Plan”, which is an uplifting song that serves as a reminder to get up and go after what you want. It talks about social struggles and hardships, yet it also assures listeners to make a plan and make it work. The song was produced and recorded by Kellyz at Kellyz Studios. My wish is to connect with the masses locally and internationally and make an impact,” he added. –
