ROBBERS raided Ruwa Primary School on Friday and stole various items.
The school is yet to determine the total value of the items, which were stolen.
Three robbers emerged from a dark corner, manhandled the security guard and then took him to a nearby classroom.
They tied his hands and legs with cable ties.
One robber remained to guard him while the other two proceeded to the school administration office.
The gang used an unknown object to force entry into the headmaster’s office.
While inside the office, they used explosives to blast open the safe.
“At around 0400 hours, the security guard checked around the school fence after the robbers had left.
“He discovered that the attackers had cut the security fence on the western side to gain entry,” said one of the staff members.
The staff member added that the robbers used an unknown object to cut the fence.
He said fragments of the blasted safe were scattered in the office, along with documents.
