Rock The Country rocks Castle Tankard

ROCK THE COUNTRY won the 54th edition of the Castle Tankard at Borrowdale Racecourse in Harare yesterday.
The rank outsider outpaced a strong field to land the coveted title on a day that also saw scores of lucky Castle Lager drinkers walking away with prizes.
Rock the Country from the Gorkan Terzi stable galloped to victory in 2 000m race with South African jockey Hennie Greyling beating a strong field of 14 horses to land US$30 000 in prize money.
Horse number 10, Rock the Country, was followed by number 8 Mathematician, as number 13 Windingo came third and number 2 Erakil passed the post at fourth.
Delta Beverages hailed the 2016 event – Africa’s oldest sponsored horse race – as unique.
