Roki added to Big Zulu show line-up

Mbulelo Mpofu, Showbiz Reporter
ANNUALLY, Bulawayo is turned upside down when South Africa’s Kalawa Jazmee stable comes to the city on the 27th of every December to host the “Homecoming Party” but this year, it is going to be different.

No Kalawa Jazmee will jet in this year, but the South-African colony of artistes will continue pouring into the country after Blaq Diamond, DBN Gogo, Boohle and Kamo Mphela staged shows in the country last month.

South Africa’s Big Zulu will touch down in the city for his maiden performance in Zimbabwe next week Monday with Roki being added onto the line-up.

The Boundary Bar and Restaurant will be the place to be when the Imali Eningi singer headlines the show.

Lately, Roki has staged a serious comeback on the music scene and his collaborations with regional artistes have helped his case and validated his inclusion into the line-up. Earlier, Big Zulu was the only headliner, but Roki has been added to the mix of headliners.

The change of line-up has seen Djembe Monks, Fab G and Slimza being included as well.

Since working with Passion Java after a long sabbatical from the music scene, the Screenshot hit-maker has maintained his trajectory, forging ahead and never looking back.

His rise has been corroborated through his collaborations with Congolese Kofi Olomide, Tanzania’s Rayvanny, South Africa’s DJ Obza and our very own South-African-based reggae dancehall artiste Buffalo Souljah. – @eMKlass_49
