THEIR love for music, life and talent are undoubted. From churning hits and children together, is the story of urban grooves legends Rockford Roki Josphats aka Roki and Pauline Gundidza affectionately known as Pauline.

From the track Zuva Nezuva close to a decade ago, the father and mother of Sky and Minana have shown that past mistakes should not judge people’s characters.

Divorced as there are, the two musical maestros have united in the song Shine Like A Star, that is, as of yesterday, standing on position three of trending tracks on YouTube.

Levels have gone up from the lyrics to the visuals and this is something that the artistes should be hailed for.

Chronicle Showbiz caught up with Roki who expressed that his relationship with Pauline, music wise, is a blessing from God.

“When I informed her on the track that I was working on, she jumped on board without questions and definitely lived up to billing.

“This is one lady that I will always salute and the way she dedicated herself to the track means a lot,” said Roki.

He said as part of strategies to his revival he will not stop churning out hit after hit, as seen with the release of Ndichakufunga and Patati Patata that features internationally acclaimed artistes Koffi Olomide and Ryaavann.

“Many had said I am gone but now is the time to show people that Roki is untouchable, in terms of my music talent.
“I will not stop releasing hit after hit because this is what I was born for and no one can take that away from me,” said Roki.

This collaboration has spurred speculation that the two are getting back together, after Pauline released the song Ndakakumirira (I’m waiting for you) in 2018 and many were convinced that it was a dedication to her ex-husband Roki.

The visuals of the track Shine Like A Star are good and special mention should be made to Director Kenny under Oskid at Passion Java Records.

Behind the scenes are camera assistants Sweezy and Dallas; responsible for Video Production was Gerald Zezuru Mashure; Executive producer was Stewart Nyamayaro and Boss Lashaan; Line production was Joshua Muchena and Denzel Alpha while outfit credits go to JayTee. — @mthabisi_mthire/ @SeehYvonne.
