MUSICIAN Romeo Gasa says he is still in shock after thugs disrupted his show in Kuwadzana last weekend.
The fracas occurred when paper spray was sprayed at the fans during a packed show at K2 Nite Club, leaving many scurrying for cover.
In an interview with H-Metro, Gasa was a disappointed man.
“I am still in shock since the incident that occurred on Saturday in Kuwadzana 2,” he said.
“I am still to come to terms with how fans ended up endangering people’s lives by using paper spray in the venue.
“I was busy performing when I saw people running out, security had to drag me off the stage and I was having trouble breathing,” he said.
Gasa said that they were looking for the people involved in such an evil act.
“We sincerely apologise for the incident that happened which was caused by unknown cruel people who threw paper spray in the venue, where there was peace, joy and order just to disturb the gig for unknown reasons.”
He added: “This also happened in Chinhoyi some years back at my album launch and it resulted in 11 people getting injured.
“I am grateful that this time no one was hurt.”
Gasa apologised to his fans.
“I hear there were fans who had already paid to attend our show but could not make it.
“We are really sorry and I wish we can compensate them with another show.”
