Zimbabwe’s rich culinary heritage and breathtaking tourism destinations are set to take centre stage in Taste and Trails, an upcoming television programme hosted by reigning Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2026, Roseanna Hall.

Created and written by Zorodzai Chibuwe, the show promises to take viewers on an immersive journey across Zimbabwe, exploring the country’s diverse traditional cuisines, cultural practices, heritage sites and hidden tourism gems.

Blending travel, food and storytelling, each episode will delve into the unique histories, customs and flavours that define communities across the nation.

Through encounters with local residents, viewers will gain insight into the traditions that continue to shape Zimbabwe’s cultural identity.

As host, Hall will travel from city to city and community to community, engaging with locals, learning about their way of life and uncovering the stories behind some of the country’s most cherished traditional dishes.

Speaking about the project, Hall said Taste and Trails is designed to do more than entertain audiences.
“Beyond just entertainment, Taste and Trails is built to boost tourism, both international and domestic, by spotlighting untapped destinations. It also plays a key role in preserving the nation’s cultural and traditional values by recording food practices and stories for future generations,” she said.

The show’s first two episodes, filmed in Manicaland and Mbare, have already been completed, with release dates set to be announced on the Taste and Trails YouTube channel.

Producers say the programme aims to become a powerful platform for showcasing Zimbabwe’s cultural wealth while encouraging both locals and international visitors to explore the country’s diverse attractions.

As the project expands, the production team is also exploring opportunities to license the show to television broadcasters, making it accessible to a wider audience across Zimbabwe and beyond.

Producer Nonie Matanga said Hall’s involvement adds significant value to the programme’s vision.
“Roseanna isn’t just presenting, she’s connecting. Her global influence helps us show the world that Zimbabwe’s culture is rich, alive and worth experiencing firsthand,” said Matanga.
