Tsenulo Moyo
ROTARACT CLUB of Nust is a voluntary student club under the Rotary Club of Bulawayo South in the District 9210.
The club focuses on community service which is charity, clean-up campaigns, mental health education and community development. It is also a club which has branches internationally.
From last year to this year, the club has done activities such as visiting Vulindlela Orphan Centre in Bulawayo, doing clothes drive and donation to Zimkids Orphan Trust in Ekuphumuleni Centre, co-sponsoring and participating in the Zimkids Sports Gala, grocery and stationary donations at Zimkids Orphan Trust, career guidance at Zimkids Orphan Trust, participating in Rotary International initiatives like Rotary Family Health Days and Polio Vaccination Campaigns.
The club has also hosted educative and transformative meetings, mental health awareness campaigns, breast cancer awareness campaigns, a career fair at Gifford High School, and clean-up campaigns in Bulawayo.
Recently, the club had a presidential induction on 14 September. Running under the theme Nostalgia: High School vibes, people came wearing their high school uniforms and Mbekezeli Sibindi was sworn in as the new president of the club.
“My wish is to make a meaningful impact in society in any way possible, also being a beneficiary of the Joshua Nkomo Scholarship, we are always encouraged to give back to the community and being part of the Rotaract club helps me to achieve this, which inspired me to be the president,” he said.

Sibindi said he plans on employing servant leadership where he will plan on focusing on the needs of fellow club members and also empowering them in a way that they get to learn from each other as decisions will be made through stakeholders’ consultations and open discussion.
Nombulelo Khanye, the former president of the club said passing the torch means ushering in a new era of awesomeness and she was excited for the coming year under the new vibrant leadership.
