Rotarians donate Carols by Candlelight proceeds

ROTARY Club of Bulawayo has donated groceries, toiletries and stationery worth $830 to Queen Elizabeth Adventist and Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s homes.The two homes cater for abandoned children, orphans, children living on the streets and abused children.

Accepting the donation on Friday Emthunzini Wethemba matron, Rose Nyamareze said the groceries would go a long way in meeting the home’s food requirements.

“We thank the community of Bulawayo and the Rotary Club for what they have done for us. Donations are our source of living and we are grateful that the community is responding to our appeals,” said Nyamareze.

The president of the Rotary Club of Bulawayo, Ellen Kwenda said the groceries were bought using money raised at the Carols by Candlelight Concert.
