Rugby coaches impressed at coaching clinic

Chikange and Lilian Mapiya.
Dingiswayo said they were happy with how things turned out on day one.
“We are very happy with the outcome, most of the participants were happy as we were teaching them more on how to pass the ball,” said Dingiswayo.

Chikange said the referees came with the intention to learn more.
“I am happy that most of the referees opened up and they were asking a lot of questions, especially on the scrums, so they said it is good that they now have a chance of learning more since there are some new rules,” said Chikange.

Pangati noted that most of the players haven’t understood the new rules.
“We are going to continue with the course today and we are still hoping to see more people,” said Pangati.

Lilian Mapiya is the only female among the instructors and said she was happy to see more girls showing interest.

“I was very happy to see a huge number of girls, it shows a lot of girls want to understand more in terms of rugby.

“We have more girls teams at Cottco and some do not really understand the new rules so they were happy to learn,” said Mapiya.
