Rugeje challenges business

Sydney Mubaiwa in Bikita
Zanu-PF political commissar Liutenant General Engelbert Rugeje (Retired) has challenged the business community to plough back their investments to eradicate poverty and ensure sustainable socio-economic development in rural areas.

He said it was incumbent upon members of the business community to initiate projects that engendered socio-economic development in their areas of operation. Addressing ruling party members in Bikita at a recent meeting, Lt Gen Rugeje (Rtd) equated the business community to foot soldiers of development in any nation.

“The business community plays an integral role in creating a Zimbabwe that is free of poverty,” he said. “We are making a clarion call to all our businesspeople to plough back to make sure that everyone benefits from the contributions they make.”
