Ruling party wins Algerian parly elections

namely, Islamist Movement of the Society of Peace (MSP), Ennahda (Renaissance) and El-Islah (Reform), came third with 48 seats.
The so-called radical opposition, including the Socialist Forces Front (FFS) and Islamist Front of Justice and Development failed to win a large share of votes.
The FFS came fourth in this election with 21 seats, followed by the Workers’ Party with 20 seats.
The independent lists came fifth with 19 seats.
The parliamentary election in Algeria finished on Thursday, as a total of 24 916 candidates, including 7 700 women from 44 political parties and 186 independent lists competed for 462 seats in the new parliament.
According the Interior Ministry, 21 664 345 Algerians are eligible to vote. — Xinhua.
