Rusamo laid to rest

DYNAMOS Supporters Association Bulawayo Chapter patron and prominent businessman Nhamo Rusamo was laid to rest at West Park cemetery yesterday.
Rusamo passed away on Friday at Mpilo Central Hospital after succumbing to injuries he sustained when he was involved in an accident two months ago.

Dynamos Supporters Association vice president Nicholas Mapanzure bemoaned the loss of their patron. “He was our first president, we started the Dembare-Bulawayo fans chapter together, It’s a great loss to Dynamos fans, he was a soccer lover and a good man, we will always remember him,” said Mapanzure.

Dynamos fan Sungurai Bhiza said it was not only a DeMbare loss but a  loss to the football family as a whole. “He was a good man, he always encouraged youngsters to join football administration so that they develop the sport, we will never forget him,” said Bhiza.

Rusamo was Bulawayo’s Dynamos Supporter Association chapter president between 2006 and 2007.
He was also a former junior football administrator and once owned a soccer team – Rutz Celtics FC – that graduated from Zifa Division Three to Division One.

His sister-in-law, Nomsa Chimbima, described her brother-in-law as a loving man, who will be missed by many. “He was a down to earth person who was able to associate with people from different walks of life. He will be missed for his love for his family.
“He will also be remembered for his involvement and passion for soccer,” she said.
