REPRESENTATIVES of political parties from across the world have reaffirmed their support for Zanu PF and the country’s development agenda under President Mnangagwa.

The representatives from Russia, China and Cuba said they will continue to stand in solidarity with Zimbabwe in its resistance to external pressures, including illegal sanctions.

The conference was attended by representatives from Frelimo, the Mozambican ruling party, among others.

In his keynote address, the Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Zhou Ding, said the conference presented a strategic platform to explore policies and initiatives that will drive the attainment of Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030.

“China stands ready to work hand-in-hand with Zimbabwe in all facets of the economy, guided by the principles of mutual respect, win-win co-operation and shared prosperity,” said Ambassador Zhou.

He further emphasised that the outcomes of the conference would “further strengthen Zimbabwe’s development agenda and deepen the enduring friendship between our two countries.”

Russian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Nikolai Krasilnikov also conveyed a message of friendship and unwavering support for Zimbabwe.

Amb Krasilnikov noted that Zimbabwe’s efforts to resist foreign interference and chart its own development path were not only commendable but also aligned with the principles of Russia.

He praised the historical ties between the two nations and reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to deepening cooperation in various sectors, including energy, agriculture, and education.

“I look forward to the continued partnership between Moscow and Harare in various areas which include education, agriculture and energy,” he said.

“I wish you your Excellency, every success, peace, prosperity as well as to the people of Zimbabwe.”

December 12 Movement International committee member, Sekou Willis, said the organisation stands in solidarity with Zimbabwe in its quest for economic emancipation. “Our support for Zanu PF and the people of Zimbabwe dates back to the 1970s during the liberation struggle,” he said.

“Since then, we have witnessed a number triumphs which include the liberation struggle and land reform programme.

“We have also witnessed the economic development and steps towards modernisation and industrialisation, all under the ruling party, Zanu PF.”

In a similar show of support, a representative of the Communist Party of Cuba acknowledged the common struggles faced by both nations, particularly the ongoing challenge of illegal sanctions imposed by some Western nations.

He commended Zimbabwe’s resilience and reiterated Cuba’s solidarity in the fight for sovereignty and economic justice.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Citizens Against Economic Sanctions (CAES), Mr Martin Zharare, pledged unwavering solidarity with Zanu PF and the Government of Zimbabwe in the ongoing fight against illegal sanctions.
