SA actor Ferguson dies of Covid-19

JOHANNESBURG. – Award-winning media mogul and Connie Ferguson’s husband, Shona Ferguson, (pictured)has died.

The 47-year-old Rockville actor and husband to producer and actress Connie Ferguson died at Milpark Hospital yesterday afternoon, Ferguson Foundation spokesperson Conrad Mwanza confirmed 

In a statement, the family confirmed that Ferguson died from Covid-19 related complications and not heart problems as earlier reported.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Mr Shona Ferguson. He passed away at noon today (Friday 30 July 2021). Mr Ferguson’s untimely passing was due to Covid-19 related complications, and not a heart operation as reported in the media.

The family asked for privacy as they mourn his untimely death.

Him and his wife, co-own production company, Ferguson Films which is responsible for giving fans a variety of award winning shows like “Rockville”, “The Queen”, “The Throne”, “The Herd” and Netflix’s “Kings of Joburg”which was one of the Top 10 watched offerings in South Africa.

Ferguson was admitted to hospital two weeks ago complaining about chest pains. It was later discovered he had heart problems. – IOLNews
