According to Chinogureyi his frist album, “Ruva Redenga” was poorly marketed although he said the music had the potential to do well.
“I have been working on my next album due for release end of March if things go according to plan. My music is in the same category as that of (Blessing) Shumba and (Mathias) Mhere and with time people will see the potential in me when they hear my second offering which according to my producer is a banger,” said Chinogureyi.
The 24-year-old artiste features South Africa’s DJ Thando, Spice Dee and Appolos of Africa on the album which he intends to launch in both South Africa and Zimbabwe. Chinogureyi has held memorable shows in South Africa with help from his Apostolic Faith Mission Church.
“Live performance is always a challenge to many musicians and again it is a must for any artiste so I teamed up with my church for shows,” he said.
The musician bemoans lack of financial support from the corporate world, saying it contributed to the poor marketing of his first album “Ruva Redenga”.
Chinogureyi started his music carrier at the age of 16 and recorded his first song in 2008 at St Philips’ High School which championed the release of a full album in 2010.
