South Africa’s chart-topping music outfit Murumba Pitch is set to headline the Coca-Cola Unplugged Food Festival scheduled for First Capital Bank Sports Club in Mt Pleasant tomorrow.
Also on the bill are Zimbabwean artists — Vera and the Husbands, Enzo Ishall, Takura and King 98.
The DJs line-up include the excellent DJ Rimo, Naida and TK Beats.
The family show will bring together diverse talents and performances from 2pm until 10pm with advance tickets selling cheaper than at the gate.
Adults will pay US$10 and Chill Zone tickets are going for US$50, while children under 12, will pay US$5.
Greedy South event coordinator, Ellinah Chipumha, expressed gratitude to Coca-Cola for their unwavering support from the early stages of the event.
“Our relationship with Coca-Cola dates back to 2017. We were three years in and still struggling for long-term sponsorship, despite partnering with esteemed brands like Heineken and Knorr.
“Coke’s marketing team took a leap of faith and put a lot of money behind us.
“Overnight, we went from loss-making to a profitable enterprise,” she said.
Ellinah added:
“Not only did they help make Unplugged sustainable but they also brought incredible energy, credibility, and aesthetics to the event.
“That said, we also delivered exceedingly on our commitments to them; it was a reciprocal relationship. It was a happy marriage then and we’re thrilled to be reunited.”
