SA police intensify search for missing Zim businessman

Police in KZN South Africa have found a body believed to be that of Zimbabwean businessman Evans Katumba who was kidnapped on March 22.

However, a close familiy member confirmed that the family is awaiting DNA tests to confirm identity.

Katumba who was also into fuel business was abducted at his Yugo Night Club in Durban by armed assailants.

His abductors demanded R2.5 million as ransom but the family only managed to raise R1.5 million by March 24.

However, the kidnappers did not release him and they haven’t been in contact since.

Crime reporter Yusuf Abramjee confirmed the development on his X account.
