SABC to televise Bafana Bafana vs Zimbabwe 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier live

The SABC has announced it will broadcast the highly-anticipated 2022 World Cup qualifier between Bafana Bafana and Zimbabwe in Harare on Friday.

With SuperSport yet to officially secure a broadcasting rights deal with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the TV blackout in South Africa is still in place for national team games.

However, the state broadcaster has now secured the rights for the opening Group G World Cup qualifier for Qatar 2022 as Bafana take on the neighboring Warriors on Friday afternoon.

According to an official statement, the game will be available on SABC1, SABC Radio Stations, OpenView, and the telkomONE application which provides the newly introduced and independent SABC Sports channel.

The games, along with all 40 CAF African World Cup qualifiers this week is also available to be streamed via the official FIFA YouTube channel.

South Africa will take on Zdravko Logarusic’s side at the National Sports Stadium on Friday before hosting Ghana at FNB Stadium three days later. – K
