Sabelo Maphosa-Sibindi appointed as Referee Assessor

RENOWED former local football referee Sabelo Maphosa-Sibindi has been appointed as Referee Assessor for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier between Cape Verde and Mali scheduled for October 24 in Cidade da Praia.

“This is a huge accomplishment and a moment of pride for our nation as one of our own takes part in such a prestigious assignment under the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Let’s all celebrate this milestone and continue supporting our referees who are flying the Zimbabwean flag high on the international stage,” said Zifa in a statement.
