Sables begin preps

Saturday. Next week the process will go a gear up with the final selection game where the Probables take on the Possibles and it is from here that the national side that will tour South Africa the following week will be named.

Initially Zimbabwe were set to play Namibia this weekend but the Namibians indicated they would not be able to travel here resulting in the Sables committee trying to host Belgium – who, however, will also not be coming reportedly for financial reasons.

Despite this, Zimbabwe — playing under the name Goshawks — are still expected to embark on their tour of South Africa where they will play two provincial sides before heading back home where they will take on the Falcons in Bulawayo.
