Sacred Heart Primary School holds speech and prize giving day

SACRED Heart Primary School, a Roman Catholic Church run school in Esigodini Matabeleland South is today holding its 2024 annual speech and prize giving to reward excelling learners.

With an enrollment of more than 200 learners, the school offers a first class learning and teaching environment with a conducive teacher-pupil ratio, with 12 teaching staff.
The Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood run the school on behalf of the Church.
The awards, are spread across academic, sports, and other extra curricular activities with some learners expected to scoops prizes for flying the school, Umzingwane District, and Matabeleland South flag high, at national level.

In attendance are teachers and their colleagues from Sacred Heart Secondary School and Esigodini Primary School, non teaching staff, learners and parents, as well as officials from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, and Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood.
The school head is Sr Salome Chiramba.

Sacred Heart Primary School is one of the few that have an inclusive education system as it enrols specially abled learners, especially speech and hearing impaired. The school has four speech and hearing impaired learners and one of them wrote her Grade 7 examinations recently.
