Cape Town — The South African Football Association (Safa) held a press conference regarding the rape allegations facing president Danny Jordaan.
Jordaan has been accused of rape by former African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament, Jennifer Ferguson.
Ferguson revealed to the public that the incident happened 25 years ago at a Nelson Mandela Bay hotel.
Safa confirmed that the National Executive Committee (NEC) back Jordaan and that he is innocent until proven guilty.
Meanwhile, the association announced that a new electoral committee has been assembled after consultation with Fifa.
The committee will meet on Saturday, April 28 to determine a new date for the SAFA presidential elections. — Sport24.
