Safeguard Security, which is part of the Safeguard Group, has been providing effective security for firms and individuals in Bulawayo.
The ISO 9001 certification of its Bulawayo operations confirms its commitment to providing high quality and effective security services to its customers in Bulawayo and Matabeleland as a whole, Safeguard Security Bulawayo managing director Mr Warren King said.
He said the certification served to confirm the level of service that the company provides and its commitment to quality management of its security services.
“We have always provided our customers with high quality service. This certification confirms this. We are committed to upholding the high standards our customers have become accustomed to and to maintaining our certification,” he said.
Safeguard provides Bulawayo with a comprehensive security service. This includes security guards, a cash-in-transit service, alarms, a rapid response service, closed circuit television, electronic door locks, private investigation services, computer security devices, metal detectors and security gates and fences.
The company provides guard services for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Its security guards are well equipped for whatever duties they may be assigned. Its cash-in-transit service uses specialist vehicles that are monitored and satellite tracked.
Speaking on the recent certification, Safeguard Security quality manager Rebecca Shumba said certification does not come easily.
“There are several stages that we go through in the certification process. There are lists of requirements that we have to meet before we are certified,” she said.
“It can be a long road, but one that is worthwhile,” she said, adding that Safeguard Alarms, which some years ago became the first electronic security operation in Zimbabwe to attain IS0 9000 certification, has again been certified.
She said Safeguard Alarms attained ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management certification last month.
