Malian music legend Salif Keita has arrived in Harare ahead of the much-anticipated Ecobank Legends Night scheduled for this weekend at Alex Park Sports Club.
Keita touched down late Wednesday night, marking his fourth visit to Zimbabwe, and expressed his delight at returning to a country known for its rich musical heritage.
The celebrated singer and songwriter said he was happy to be back and promised fans an unforgettable performance when he takes to the stage.
“I am very happy to be in Zimbabwe again. This is my fourth time here and I am looking forward to the show,” Keita said.
He added that fans should expect fireworks when he performs at the star-studded event.
Keita joins an impressive line-up that includes Congolese music veteran Yondo Sister, Tanga wekwaSando, Alick Macheso and Intotal Band.
Organisers have been putting final touches to the show, with the artistes expected to go into rehearsals ahead of Saturday’s performance.
