Samsung, DStv partner

JOHANNESBURG. – Samsung South Africa has announced an exclusive agreement with DStv to enable consumers to purchase Galaxy Tablet and Drifta Mobile decoder for Android bundles through network operators and leading retailers.
The bundles will include a three-month DStv Mobile subscription at no additional cost. Craige Fleischer, director mobile communications at Samsung South Africa, says this partnership enables us to offer a mobile broadcast entertainment experience, in line with Samsung’s philosophy to assist consumers to enjoy a more connected lifestyle.

“With the popularity of tablets continuously increasing, and as the demand for communication mobility grows, this partnership will further enhance our unique multimedia offering, allowing consumers to watch their favourite show or support their sport team, wherever they are,” he said.

The Drifta for Android will be bundled with select Galaxy Tab and Samsung Galaxy Note tablet devices including the Samsung Note 8.0, Tab 3 10.1 and Tab 2 10.1.

Mark Rayner, CEO of DStv Mobile, says this limited edition bundle with Samsung is, “another step in DStv Mobile’s journey to bring the exciting realm of mobile television to South Africans. The Drifta for Android is a mobile decoder that enables access to DStv Mobile channels using select Samsung tablets. It utilises Digital Video Broadcast Handheld technology. – CAJ News.
