UNITED Kingdom-based Sandra Mtukudzi’s arrival for this year’s Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of the Arts (OMIFA) is expected to add variety to the two-day event that kicks off on Saturday.
Sandra is the late Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi’s eldest daughter.

She arrived midweek from the UK.

“It is good news to see Sandra coming to perform at her late father’s international festival,” said a close family friend.

“She is a humble lady who has her family at heart. We expect the event to be a blast due to its significance.

“As a mature lady who used to manage Selmor’s affairs, we know what she is capable of bringing to the band.”

Meanwhile, Selmor is expected to set the tone for the festival.

She is billed to share the stage with Killer T, Nisha Ts, Andy Muridzo, Djembe Monks, Sarungano, Gwevedzi ReDefined, Innosant Sax, Taffie Matiure and Munya Nyamarebvu.

Resident singer Jay Watta, Tendai Mavengeni, and US star Aaron Myers will perform at the VIP dinner later that day.

Jah Prayzah will headline the closing day of OMIFA 2024.

He will share the stage with Tamy Moyo, Fusion 5 Mangwiro, Mokoomba, Gemma Griffiths, Bryan K, Mwendamberi (Solution GS), Agga Nyabinde, Hope Masike, Vazukuru VeAfrica, the Black Spirits featuring Mbeu, Donald Kanyuchi and Sarungano.
