Sandy off to Russia

Bulawayo-based ensemble Intombi Zomqangala left Zimbabwe via South Africa where they are expected to proceed to Russia.
Sandy — as she is affectionately called in showbiz circles — received the invitation late last year and had been making preparations since then.

This is not the first time that the singer and dancer and her group have toured Europe after performing in Germany and Austria last year.
Sandy is also expected to showcase her theatrical side, which charmed art lovers during the Shanghai World Expo in China in June 2010.
The former playwright and actress is a founding member of the popular group Iyasa, which is one of the leading arts ensembles in the country.

She then decided to branch out and form her own group leading to the release of her debut album “Tshaya Thaya”, which carried the hit song “Mama”.
The album was done in three languages — Ndebele, Shona and English.

She also released another album titled “Life Goes On”.
The sultry dancer also became a permanent feature at national galas where she holds crowds spellbound with her raunchy dances  as well as pulsating music.
