FOR the seventh consecutive year Sangano Legends dominated the podium at the Bulawayo Christian Leaguea��s annual end of year awards ceremony. The 2017 edition was held a fortnight ago at House of Prayer.
For successfully defending their league title, Sangano got a full set of playing kit, three soccer balls and a certificate.
In the individualsa�� category, Sangano Legends saw their gem Godknows Ndlovu being named the leaguea��s Player of the Year.
Ndlovu also shared the Golden Boot Award with Masimba Bhiza of Eagle Life Assembly. The duo found the back of the net nine times for their respective clubs in the just ended season.
As if this was not enough for Ndlovu, he was selected into the BCL 2017 Soccer Stars of the Year among other 11 best players of the league.

Bhizaa��s Eagle Life outfit was recognised as the Most Organised lot while Brethren in Christ Church emerged as the Most Disciplined.A� The Most Improved Team award went to Word of Life and their gaffer Bhekani Ncube got the Coach of the Year Award.
All award winners got certificates.
In the netball category, teams only got awards for the tournaments they played as they failed to compete in the netball league because of financial constraints.
United College of Education (UCE) were the champions in the Oriental tournament.A� For the Easter tournament the first prize went to How Mine while for the Netball Fellowship tournament the award was scooped by Flying Eagles.
a�?We want to appreciate the teams who were part of BCL in 2017. The awards ceremony is a day to reward the different teams and individuals who did well this past year. However, in reality every member and team is a winner as they managed to successfully carry out the mandate of BCL which is to spread the word of God through sport, thereby winning souls to the Kingdom of God,a�? said BCL secretary Mqhele Sayi.
Sayi also extended his gratitude to the sponsor of the awards, Daniel Bingadadi, a long-standing member of BCL who has continued to sponsor and support BCL programmes.
a�?We are grateful for the role that has been played by Bingadadi. I also want to mention that teams from other churches are welcome to join BCL for next year,a�? said Sayi. .
