In an interview, Nkomo who uses Coxie Himself as a stage name said he was once a member of an imbube group known as Majimbos. He said he started singing at a tender age.
While the love for music is in his blood, Coxie said he was inspired by his late brother Dennis Nkomo who was part of the popular imbube group, Black Umfolosi.
“The album is already on the market and I need people to support me. I am also appealing to donors to support us to grow in the industry,” said Coxie.
Coxie said athough his father was a senior pastor who was brought up in church, he could not avoid becoming a sangoma as it was his calling.
“My grandfather was a sangoma and the first song titled Mabhotsha was dedicated to him. That was his name, meaning ukudla okunengi,” he added.
